At Riddiford Neurology we offer a variety of referral options for GPs and other medical specialists.
We are also happy to receive referrals via SR Referrals.
Riddiford Neurology also offers private neurology consultations and a comprehensive neurophysiology service at the Southern Cross Northland Surgical Centre in Whangārei. Referrals for Northland patients can be sent to our Wellington based administration team who will contact your patient directly to make a booking.
ACC Nerve conduction studies and EMG appointments:
Referrals can be sent directly to Riddiford Neurology with an ACC number.
ACC Concussion appointments:
Patients who have sustained a head injury within the past 12 months should be referred to a Concussion Clinic for initial assessment. These clinics provide multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation for individuals following a concussion. If a specialist neurology assessment is required, the Concussion Clinic can make an appropriate referral.
All other ACC appointments:
Referrals for medical case reviews require prior approval and must be initiated by ACC. Please contact the patient’s ACC case manager to request a referral. Due to limited capacity and a long waitlist, we may not accept an ACC medical case review if we cannot offer an appointment within a reasonable time frame.
