After ten years at Riddiford Medical Specialists in Newtown, Riddiford Neurology is relocating to new premises on Featherston Street in central Wellington.
Riddiford Neurology provides specialist neurology care and a comprehensive neurodiagnostic service. The new location will allow for expanded consultation services, including Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology consultations, as well as additional diagnostic services such as autonomic function and tilt table testing.
The autonomic nervous system regulates functions including blood pressure, heart rate, respiration rate, sweating, gastrointestinal activity, bladder, and sexual function. Autonomic dysfunction may result from various disorders that affect autonomic pathways. Riddiford Neurology is the only private provider of Autonomic Function Testing in New Zealand.
Neuropsychology involves the study of brain function and behaviour. Neuropsychological evaluations assess cognitive abilities such as memory, language, attention, reasoning, and can help identify impairments caused by injury, disease, or other neurological conditions.
